WHAT FORMS OF ID ARE REQUIRED?
A driver's license, or State issued ID card are the most common forms of ID which may be used if not expired for more than 5 years. Or, in the absence of an ID card, the identity of the signer may be established by the statement of 2 witnesses who are not a party to the document, and who do have valid ID.
ANY OTHER FEES PAID TO THE NOTARY PUBLIC?
$75 includes the travelling fee plus 1 notarized signature by 1 person. California State law states that the fee for additional signatures is limited to $15 per signature.
ANY OTHER FEES PAID TO SACRAMENTO COUNTY OR TO YOUR LOCAL COUNTY?
County Recording fees will be charged for Certain documents such as a Deed, Affidavit of Death, or Change of Trustee, or Loan Documents. These fees may vary widely, ranging from about $20 to about $100 or more. The Notary Answer Man can identify these fees for you.
CAN THE NOTARY ANSWER MAN DELIVER DOCUMENTS TO YOUR LOCAL RECORDER'S OFFICE?
Certain documents, such as a Deed, Quitclaim Deed, Deed of Trust, or an Affidavit of Death or a Change of Trustee, may require recording in the appropriate local County Recorder's office. The Notary Answer Man can deliver documents to the Sacramento County Recorder's office for a $60 fee or to the Placer County Recorder's office for a $75 fee or to the El Dorado Cunty Recorder's office for an $85 fee.
